Wee Ones Campaign – May 14 – June 18
This year we are once again supporting the life-honoring work of Sussex Pregnancy Care Centre. This ministry in our community reaches out to teens, women, and men facing an unplanned pregnancy and parents in need of support and resources. Be sure to sign out your baby bottle today and, over the next few weeks, please fill with change, bills and cheques to support the work of the ministry. Thank you for generously giving to those in our community in need of compassionate support.
Back to Basics with Alpha
As we emerge from the pandemic and head into the Easter season, it’s a great time to get “back to basics” with the Alpha program. Join us at St. Mark’s on Tuesdays, April 25-June 20 at 7pm. Alpha gives us an opportunity to discuss Christian faith and life’s big questions in a friendly, open, and informal environment. Each session begins with dessert together, and then the Alpha video, followed by small group discussion about the week’s topic. Everyone is welcome! Please contact Dan (dan.mcmullen@anglican.nb.ca) or Sean (sean.davidson@anglican.nb.ca) if you’d like to join in.
Search for a New Priest
Archdeacon Rob Marsh recently called our Parish Advisory Committee (PAC) together to begin the process of searching for a new priest to serve in our parishes.
Our PAC consists of the following members: Marshall Fanjoy, Nancy Coleman, Sandra Kyle, Carolyn Floyd, Sheila Chambers, Andy Tabor, Janet Reicker, Heather Carhart
The process will begin with the writing of a parish profile that will be forwarded to the Bishop’s Office after Archdeacon Rob’s approval. Once Archbishop David has prayerfully considered the profile, the position will be posted on the Diocesan website for all interested candidates. Archbishop David will interview prospective candidates and indicate his first choice to the PAC for consideration. If either the candidate or the parish feel this is not a good fit, Archbishop David will indicate his second choice, and the process will continue until a desirable candidate is found.
Please join us in prayer for the Parishes of Waterford & St. Mark, the PAC, and Archbishop David to guide us to the priest who will help us to grow in our ministries:
Almighty God, giver of all good gifts, look on your Church with grace and guide the minds of those who shall choose a pastor for this parish that we may receive a faithful servant who will care for your people, lead, and support us in our ministries, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
