The Parishes of Waterford and St. Mark
Given our current COVID-19 restrictions, we have decided to cancel productions of The Living Manger this year. We have been hosting this Christmas event for 28 years, and we know how much it means for people across our parishes and the wider community. This was a very difficult decision.
At the same time, we know that God has given us hope to press through hard times like this with resilience and creativity. We are not alone. God is with us, and he’s called us to trust him with everything. Even in the midst of strange and confusing times like these! So let’s do that together.
This year, we invite you to rest and to reflect with us as we take a leisurely stroll down memory lane.
Below you will find a video production of The Living Manger from 1995. The quality isn’t awesome, but somehow this makes it all the better. It gives a wonderful glimpse into earlier times and helps us to remember God’s faithfulness to us down through the years. It also centers our attention once again on the birth of Jesus and the true meaning of Christmas.
So let’s pause together to remember and to welcome the good news with thankful hearts: “Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.” (Luke 2:10-11)
We hope you enjoy the video. Many blessings to one and all! And Merry Christmas!
